Change to UK Visa Applications in Spain

Back to News

From 21st March 2014, the process for applying for a UK Visa in Spain has changed.

All UK visa applications in Spain must be made and paid for online through the UK Visas & Immigration website

Once you have made your application and booked a visa appointment online, you must next register with the Visa Application Centre operator Teleperformance Ltd You can then select and pay for your choice of any additional services.

The following additional services are available, and all charges are payable in Euros using the consular rate of exchange:

  • Priority Visa Service, £100 – allows you to have your visa application placed at the front of the queue by UK Visas & Immigration, normally enabling a decision within 3-5 working days

  • Return courier, €10.50 – allows you to receive your decision by courier to your chosen address rather than returning to the Visa Application Centre to collect it

  • Premium Lounge, £89 – a more private environment with a dedicated agent receiving your documentation

Further details of these services, including eligibility criteria, are available on the website when you book your appointment at the Visa Application Centre in Madrid.

Please note that the British Embassy in Madrid no longer deals with any visa related enquiries. For all further information about the visa application process, please visit the UK Visas & Immigration website.
